Site driving license Will be distributed to all expatriates & local staff and

personnel allocated with company vehicle.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENT : Proof of international / local driving

license possession.

Site driving license valid for 1 year and is subject to renewal.

Only those with Site driving license are allowed to drive company.vehicle …..and/or in company premises.

New comers to follow this induction before obtaining their TSP driving …..license.

SAFETY TIPS (REMINDERS)

Vehicle’s external appearance : clear windscreens, windows, mirrors; intact lamps / bulbs, exhaust …

Tyre inflation, including spare tyre. Tyre replacing tools.

All lights are functioning : head lamp, city lamp, turning, braking, reversing, and hazard lamps. Fog and tail lamps, if any.

Read instrument panel : fuel / gasoline, engine temp., lubricating oil indicators are within normal range. If in doubt ...

Physical check radiator water, battery water level, lubricating oil level gauge (especially for long distance journey).

Seating and mirrors are well adjusted.

TSP Driving License mandatory ! Other licenses (international / local) might be useful ...

Start engine and pre-heat for a while (will help smooth running). Listen for any unusual noise. Check horn sounding.

Adjust climate controller setting, radio channel, radio / cassette volume etc. : all to be done before moving.

Put lights on when dark, at dawn, twilight or dusk.

Fasten seatbelt …

Test the brake, clutch pedal, acceleration gears and make sure everything is alright before starting the journey.

Drive carefully and defensively. Respect other road users (bicycle, motorcycle, pedestrian). Never get provoked / distracted / offended by other drivers’ “style”. Stay cool : calm and safe. Set examples …

Obey traffic signs, observe road markings especially zebra crosses Respect road controllers / traffic squad who reserves the right to override traffic signs lawfully.

Speed limit : 35 km/h inside plant area, 20 km/h at parking areas (offices, camps). Keep slow at other areas.

Park only at designated parking areas. Reverse when instructed.

Make sure clearance behind vehicle before reversing.

Do not commit yourself to becoming part of the “incident statistic” !

Only diesel engine vehicles equipped with spark arrestor allowed to …..enter and used in the plant (production phase).

Use of mobile phone is strictly forbidden while driving in the plant. …..Phone to be handed over to the check point. Switch off mobile phone …..while refueling.

Use of radio while driving only if hands free kits available.

Only 1 passenger in the front seat, pick-up should not carry passengers …...in the rear compartment.

First aid kit box and 1.5 kg dry powder fire extinguisher should be …...available.

Driver should be fit and in no circumstances under the influence of ….drink or drugs. Substance abuse will be Subject to TSP policy HSE ….standard 1101.

No smoking while driving. No smoking while refueling.

Driver is responsible to ensure that carried freight is secured and ….stowed.

WHEN HEARING EMERGENCY ALARMS / SIRENS : Stay calm. Park vehicle on the correct side of the road. Turn engine off, leave ignition key in position. Go to the nearest muster point crosswind. Follow further instructions.

Any traffic violation will be treated according to sop 108 vehicle and ….driving safety :

PUNCHING of TSP driving license (3 chances max). Defensive driving training + commented driving.

Certain traffic infractions / incidents will be endorsed by the TSP driving …..committee composed of :

Hierarchy of the offender. HSE site manager. RSE site manager. Eventual competent personnel.
