+We start the day with our Good Morning song.

+We share some news,

+and read Star Bear’s diary.

+Then we do writing.

+We write in our books,

+or we do special writing with a parent helper,

+or we publish one of our stories and share it with the class.

+We practise our handwriting.

+Sometimes we skip for fitness.

+At reading time we read with the teacher in a group.

+When we are not with the teacher we follow a task board…

+we read lots of different things like big books,

+books we have made ourselves,

+books we have read before,

+books from our book boxes to parent helpers,

+books from the library corner,

+poems in our poem books,

+and listen to taped story books.

+Sometimes we do an activity to go with a book that we have read.

+Sometimes we go to the writing table.

+In Maths we have been learning about shapes.

+We made cylinders to make our Spring daffodils.

+We made shape people using foam shapes and then stickers.

+We have been learning about road safety with Constable Julie.

+We have been learning about Pasifika.

+We do art on our big new art table.

+On Mondays we go to the library.

+On Thursdays we go to ICT with Mr Des Forges and use the computers.

+We also use computers in our classroom.

+On Fridays we go to Assembly.

+Then we have Jump Jam.

+Sometimes we have Junior Assembly and singing…

+and delicious French lunches!

+School is Number 1!
