People recognize patterns by necessity, and three is the smallest number of elements required to create a pattern. This combination of pattern and brevity results in memorable content, and that’s why the Rule of Three will make you a more engaging and convincing writer.

To write a persuasive opinion piece begin with your opinion and then apply the rule of 3.

Plan, plan, plan! Have THREE reasons to support your opinion.

When writing, begin with a clear statement of topic and opinion. Follow it up with a path that states your THREE arguments.

Put each reason in its own paragraph creating THREE paragraphs.

5. You will share your thoughts with the class in an effort to persuade others to join your side.
