!  What is clutter? !  Examples: !  How do you get rid of clutter?

!  Start with today’s clutter. !  Start with the easy stuff, grab a trash bag and

start tossing things that are clearly garbage. !  Unclutter first; then organize. !  Don’t just put things down, put them away!

!  Set a simple goal: Tonight I’m going to clean out my junk drawer and then stop.

!  Schedule time in your planner to organize.

!  Work on one mini project at a time. (5-15 minutes)

!   Pick a room-any room. !   Tackle 1 room, 1 drawer at a time. !   Remove everything. Sort stuff into piles:

1.  Throw Away 2.  Put Away 3.  Give Away 4.  Sell 5.  Keep Put back only the things you love or can’t live

without.

!  Just get started, 5 minutes a day is better than 0 minutes.

!  Do a 5 minute pick-up every night before going to bed.

!  Always put smaller things on top of larger things, so you can find them.

!  Live by the one-in/one-out rule.

!  Periodically PURGE! (Set up mini household purges for each month.)

!  Turn piles into files. !  Complete your Circles! !  Unclutter your walls. Take down

everything and only put back what you love.

(2), pencils(2), eraser, paper-clips, page flags, mini post-it stickies, highlighter, a thin marker (to label everything)
