Final Target Audience Feedback

For my final feedback on my main tasks for my AS Media, I created a focus group where people from my target audience would give me all round comments on what they thought of my magazine Front Cover, Contents Page and Double Page Spread.

What do you think of the finished Front Cover?

Positive Comments – • The bright colours used stand out against the faded

background• Overall good use of colouring, not too much contrast but just

enough to make the page ‘pop’• The photo stands out from the page, making me (target

audience) want to look inside the magazine• Using someone near my age attracted me to the magazine• The price is a reasonable amount to pay.• If I was to see this magazine in a shop, I would go and look at

it because it stands out• The boxes and use of informative text is a good way to give a

taste of what is in the magazine.

Negative Comments – • Some of the text on the page is slightly hard to read e.g. the

issue number, release date and magazine price

What do you think of the finished Contents page?

Positive Comments –• I like how the page is set out, it is in a clear order and is easy

to digest • There seems to be an even spread of photograph and text• The masthead and title of the page stand out well and look

bold• All the text is easy to read• The use of a tagline is clever, this is original and I haven't seen

it before

Negative Comments –• Some more numbered pages could have been added to give

some more depth to the page

What did you think of the finished double page spread?

Positive Comments –• This is my favorite page of the three• I love the colour scheme on the page, they way all the colours

that are used are similar really drew me into the page• The way white text is used still links this page to the previous two• The positioning of the text makes the page interesting • The way the quote is made larger than the rest of the text makes

it stand out

There were no negative comments made about my Double Page Spread.

Overall, I am very happy with the comments. The positive comments I am pleased with because I worked hard to make the features picked up visible to the reader. If I were to complete the coursework again, I would work on the main negative points and hopefully get rid of these.
