What Is a Paragraph?

As follow some of paragraph means:

Paragraph is a series of sentences that are organize and coherent (Indian

University)

Paragraph is a group of sentences that focuses on one topic. (scrib.com)

A distinct portion of written or printed matter dealing with a particular idea, usually beginning with an indentation on a new line. (dictionary.reference.com)

A group of closely related sentences that develop a central idea. (grammar.about.com).

But what does Paragraph mean to us?.

Paragraph are several sentences that express and idea and focuses in one issue.

Element of a Paragraph?

TOPIC SENTENCES The sentences when you introduce the topic

SUPPORTING SENTENCES The sentences when you describe or explain the issue

CONCLUDING SENTENCE Is the sentences that you close or finish the information

that are you writing about.

Type of Paragraph

• Describes Past events

• Sequence event presentation

• Specific details of the story

Narrative

• Describes Something

• Describe special features

• Describe activities

• Describe people and events

Descriptive

• Tries to persuade the reader to accept a particular point of view

• The paragraph gives advice.

Persuasive

• To help the reader understand issues

• Paragraph written about literature

• Analytical and deep concept about literature

Literary

• Gives information facts.

• Explain issues

Informative

Narrative Paragraph

The rabbit-hole went straight on like a tunnel for some way, and then dipped suddenly down, so suddenly that Alice had not a moment to think about stopping herself before she found herself falling down a very deep well.

Describe Paragraph

Sunset is the time of day when our sky meets the outer space solar winds. There are blue, pink, and purple swirls, spinning and twisting, The sun moves slowly to hide behind the line of horizon, while the moon races to take its place in prominence atop the night sky.

Persuasive Paragraph

Fast food has high sodium level, and many calories, if you continue eating fast food you must be sick and gets bad press and maybe you must suffer a heart attack. To avoid to much calories and fat I would be better that you eat salads, turkey sandwich and so on.

Expository Paragraph

Usually is for manual support or instruction, how to do something. The language is clear and easy.

Literary Paragraph

Usually is deep information about literature, experts concept about writers.

The literature critics give their expert opinion
