Coaching in PracticeBroward County, Florida

• Library Integration NetworK Support

• LINKS takes aim at raising student achievement through 21st Century School Library Media Programs

• LINKS Cadre: 12 Library Media Specialists attended the week-long, in depth Facilitator Training in Summer 2008

• Broward County divided into four geographical zones

• Facilitators begin training Peer Coaches in October 2008 – Library Media Specialists partnered with their school’s Reading Coaches

Coaching in PracticeIsaac School District, Phoenix, Arizona

• 2 Peer Coaching Cohorts have completed the program

• District facilitators were trained in September 2007

• 17 graduates in year 1 (2008), 13 in year 2 (2009)

• Participants recruited by Director of Technology and principals, including technology coaches, classroom teachers, building leaders, and participants of math academy

• Classes conducted twice a month from January to December

• Peer Coaches were paid for attending the classes
