My name is Lyssa Henrich, I was born June 11, 1987 in Santa Fe, New

Mexico. I am currently going to school to become an Art teacher, K –

12. I love all forms of art, specifically drawing, painting,

photography, graphic arts, dance, theater, and singing. My favorite

day of the week changes depending on my work schedule, my

favorite number is 13. My favorite flower is the dandelion. I have no

favorite color, every color is equally amazing to me, except the color

pink. I am not overly fond of the color pink. I love all sorts of music

and my favorite depends on my mood. If I had to pick a favorite

season it would be fall, the beautiful bright colors everywhere and

the perfect temperatures. My favorite holiday is Halloween and that

being said I love horror movies.

It’s My Life…

I am a child at heart and am bound to do at least one childish thing at

least once a week if not once a day. It keeps me happy and able to

laugh at myself. I believe that if you can’t laugh at yourself from

time to time you are doomed to be an unhappy person. I love to

laugh, I love to burst out into random acts of dance and song, and

have a secret dream of marrying Willy Wonka, Gene Wilder not

Johnny Depp. I am stubborn. I come from a bad past that I will not

let stop me from a great future. I love a challenge, truth or dare is

my favorite game, and I don’t deal well with pessimistic people. All

in all I try to be a positive person, and I am very open about most

things.

I have many hobbies most of which are art related, the one most dominant right now is photography. I have done senior photos, wedding photos, and family/children photos ; I like to entertain the idea of taking up photography as a side job later on down the line in life. Professional Goals…What When Where

Teaching Degree 2013 USD

I am currently working towards my Art Education Degree and hope to have it completed within the next two and a half years.

Find Teaching Job 2013 - 2015 South Dakota or Iowa

I hope to be able to find a teaching job teaching K- 12 art within the first two years, but hope to be able to substitute teach until then.

Open Studio 2025 - 2030 A city on the East coast.

My partner and I would like to move to the East coast to raise our children during this time I hope to own my own art studio to show my work part time while still teaching K-12 art in a small town outside the city.

In 10 Years…

Ten years from right now I hope to be jumping through leaf piles and giggling joyfully while playing with my child or children, I expect my wife to be sitting on our front porch steps shaking her head calling us in to clean up before the Pizza Hut delivery person shows up. We will have a nice relaxing family dinner and then huddle together on the sofa with hot chocolate and popcorn to watch a movie before the kids go to bed. After the kids are down, and the dinning room picked up, I will settle down at the kitchen table to work on lesson plans for my upcoming classes and she will head off to the study to work on finishing writing her latest magazine article. We will head off to bed in a few hours and release a happy sigh. We made it!
