Our Objetives.

• We are going to talk about Local History of these cities.• We want to mention the most important historic events.• We are going to show you the most important historic places and the most important historic people.

• The name of the city, Saint James of the Knights, makes allusion to a group of knights who had come from La Isabela city to stay in Santiago.• Santiago Called Heart City because it

is located at the heart of El Cibao Valley.

Founded in 1495 during the first wave of European colonization of the New World, Santiago is the first ´´Santiago´´ of the Americas and is the second largest 

metropolis in Dominican Republic.
