Developing Reading Skills

An attempt to describe a framework for the development of reading skills does not assume

that this is the only way to structure or approach a TEFL reading lesson.

This article provides a structures procedure for presenting a TEFL reading lesson which may be used in conjunction with any reading text including newspaper articles, magazine

articles, news items, short stories and brochures.

Here is a suggested procedure for dealing with a TEFL reading skills lesson which I

have found to be both effective and motivating for students.

The TEFL teachers will begin the lesson with a Warmer activity and conclude with

Revision.
