2. BEFORE When the english was complusory in 3rd grade in 1996 Ceip Puig den Valls made a new linguisticproject and decided to introduce the Englishlanguage teaching from the 6th EI (Kindergarten)to 6th grade. We started the SSEE project in 2006/07 with Ecoarts and crafts in 1st grade. In 2006/2008 we started with a comenius projectand now were participatind in our thirdcomenius project 2012/14 Money Matters. 2 3. 2010/11 With the new school board team one of the objectives of theSchool board project was extend the English language in the school andthe importance of the English language in the school. 2011/12 We applied for a new English teacher with a permanent position. 2012/13 We are applying a new English teacher with a permanent job. So,we will be 4 English teachers in the school with a permanent position. STRONG FEATURES. Teacher stability and involvement with the projects. Consolidate projectsthat we start has helped starting the SSEE project in 2008/9 and now thePlurilinge from 1st to 4th grade although it is only compulsory in 1st and4th grade. Kindergarten teachers with a permanent job in Puig den Valls have beendoing teacher training in CLIL and also English Language training courses.This implies that primary teachers can teach in Infantil and Infantil teachersto Primary. 4+23 4. Teachers and Timetable2 5. ECO ARTS AND CRAFTS1st and 2nd grade 2 sessions 45 every week Eco Arts, related to the Puig den Valls green project. Related to the School topic. We have the support of a language assistant in one of thesessions in each group. Coordinating weekly with the tutor teacher. English, Spanish and catalan culture topics (Autumn,Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Sant Jordi,..) 3 6. School Topic monogrfic4 7. Puig den Valls village This year the topic tema monogrfic is Puig den Valls. We do activities related to Puig den Valls village (Thearchitecture, vegetation, animals, the shops, restaurants,we interview artists and people of the village,present/past/future of the village, we prepare documentsin English to inform the families or to invite them todifferent events, gentilici contest, we work feelingsabout the village in a map love and feelings in Puig denvalls, etc.) The school timeline is part of it. We work theinventions in English. In Spanish we work Literature andauthors and history and events in Catalan. 5 8. Catalan/English/Spanish/culture 6 9. LANGUAGE ASSISTANT 2012/13ZOE GREEN7 10. ARTS and SCIENCE 3rd and 4th grade 2 sessions of 45 every week We give support to the tutor teacher and worktopics that the student is working or hasworked in the mother tongue in science.
