How to upload an mp3 into PodBean.com and then paste it into

your WordPress blog post

Upload a mp3 in PodBean.com


After you’ve created your new PodBean.com account, you’ll be confronted with the Dashboard page.

Look for the far left hand sidebar and click on the Publish button.

A new selection of page options will appear.

Click on Media Manager.



In the Media Manager page, look for the big blue Upload button and click on it.



First click on the Basic uploader tab.

Then click on the Choose File button to access your computer to find your mp3.



Locate on your computer where you’ve stored your mp3 and click on it and select ‘Open’ to upload it into PodBean.com



PodBean.com will acknowledge the mp3 you’ve chosen. Now click on the green Upload button.



When PodBean.com has finished uploading your mp3 file, it will show in your uploaded list.

You will see that the mp3 name is in blue and therefore is a link. Click on it.



A pop up window will then reveal your uploaded mp3’s specially created URL or web-address. You need to copy this to paste it into your post.

Pasting your mp3 into your WordPress blog post


Go to your blog and open up a new post editing page.

In the top right corner of your content box, click on the Text tab.



Go back to that pop up box from PodBean.com and copy the mp3 file’s URL.



In the editing post’s Text mode, paste in that PodBean.com URL into the content field.



Go to the Publish menu (top right) and click on the Preview button.



And the listening to recording feature will appear. This is what it will look like when your post is published.



Back in Visual mode and the URL should NOT appear as a link.

Write introductory and concluding paragraphs above and below it, and then publish!



If you don’t want to have the listening to recording feature in your post, you can have the mp3’s title as a link instead.

Type the title, highlight it and select the link icon from the options at the top of the editing menu.



In the Insert/edit link menu, copy and paste in the mp3’s URL, and enter the title too.

Click on the Add Link button.



The title will then become a link, which, when clicked on once the post is published, will go to a separate page containing the listening to recording feature.
