Suitability of locationThe green screen room is on the ground floor of BOA making it easily accessible and not requiring transport, as well as maneuverable offering a number of services in which I can use in my images, such as a green screen (in which after I have taken my images can be used to edit and change the background of the photos), black curtains and a number of flood and parcan lanterns that I can use to put gels in to change and effect the atmosphere within my images. As well as the lighting available within the room there is also a number of plugs I can use which can be used to place different lights more suited for the images I am taking.

Availability of locationTo gain access to the green screen room you will need to book with Mr. Walker, who will tell you when they’re open and when they’re available. As the green screen room is on campus you will not need transport to get there making it easier to move equipment and people to and from the room.

Power sources on locationWithin the green screen room there are plugs available from the sides of the room which I can use to plug in my own lights for effect and to aid the visual aspect of my photographs. As well as plugs in the room there are also lights which are already installed in the room which I can reposition and pose at different angles for effect and to use during my photos. With the installed lights I can also place gels (coloured filters) in them which can change the atmosphere and mood of each photo by using a different filter.

Lighting issues on locationIn the green screen room there are plugs available to place my own lights such as hair lights, for an effect and to sculpt my photos for the desired effect and to edit the photos. As well as this there are already a number of different lights in the green screen room which I can use to change the atmosphere and mood of the photos, which will change with each lights e.g. with the flood lights in the room, I can place gels (a type of coloured filter) which can be used to change the atmosphere and mood within each image. I can also reposition these lights to achieve my desired effect. As well as using lighting for effect, as I have the green screen curtain within the room I can use the curtain later when I’m editing the photos to change the background of the photo, which could also be used to change the mood. With the green screen I can use other background photos that I have also taken which depending on their setting can change the type of lighting e.g. natural lighting.
