The topic is EthicsPractitioners require an ethical framework in order to develop trust within their clients while delivering optimal care and treatment.Issues & Controversies: Researching ethically and maintaining ethical standards of care while practicing psychology. Personal spiritual beliefs often play a central role in the treatment of individuals and families (Piotrowski, C. 2012). Therapists must become objective with their ethics during treatment and research.How to maintain ethical standards of care during research and treatment? How should a professional react ethically while maintaining client trust?

Expert 2: Dr. Erich Fromm Erich Fromm would expect that if psychological research was to be done from a humanistic ethical approach it must cause no harm to the individual. Psychological research runs a risk of constricting or reducing the humans actual human behavior. Fromm recommends to achieve true morality one must free one-self from the ties of blood and soil, from his mother and his father, from special loyalties to state, class, race, party, or religion (Leonidas, C.K. 2011).
