Five years after having been established through the collaboration of Sasin and the Corporate

Responsibility & Ethics Association for Thai Enterprise (CREATE), the Sasin Center for

Sustainability Management (SCSM) is today recognized as the driver for embedding sustainability

management thinking across all business functions.

We have a wide and growing network of professionals and students who come together at our

monthly events under Net Impact’s Bangkok Professional Chapter at Sasin, featuring luncheon

meetings with guest world-class speakers; site visits; networking nights; and film screenings.

We are happy to share our latest dynamic year with you in this, our fifth annual report. We look

forward to inspiring everyone in the pursuit of sustainability - the long-term well-being of our

society, economy, environment, and each individual.

We wish all a Happy New Year and look forward to engaging you in 2017!

Sasin and CSR Asia announced the signing of a partnership

agreement between the School’s Sasin Center for Sustainability

Management and CSR Asia, a leading provider of sustainable

business practice services. The agreement to jointly support

sustainable development in the Mekong Region will focus on

developing innovative initiatives across ASEAN for the rapidly

changing region. Sasin will also offer executive development

courses on corporate responsibility, sustainability and social

business. Bangkok is becoming a regional hub for NGOs and

other international organizations. So the aim of the SCSM/CSRA

partnership is to work regionally in support of ASEAN integration,

developing new partnerships with the private sector. The

agreement was signed by Sasin’s Director, Professor Dipak C.

Jain, and Richard Welford, CSR Asia’s Chairman.

A visit to Daruma Eco Farm revealed

techniques for farming harmoniously with

nature. Permaculture is an alternative way

of farming organically and naturally.

expropriation.

A workshop on preserving Thai culture

introduced the lost Thai arts of Pang Puang and

Lakorn Chatri performing.

A visit to Bangchak Refinery offered our
