This presentation is an attempt to teach students to write a story on their own by using the
modern technology. After teaching the basic concepts of story the students were asked to make a story using
animations, clip arts on the computer.
Characters: Creation of imaginary people who appear to be real to the reader. The writer gives information about the characters in the story.
•Theme: The story’s main ideas. The “message” the writer intends to communicate by telling the story.
•Point of view: The position of the narrator of the story and what the writer sees from that vantage point.
EVALUATION
What are the elements of a story? Why is a setting necessary? Which is that element that conveys a message?
ANSWERS Setting, Characterization, Plot, Conflict, Climax,
Resolution, Theme, Point of view. Because it tells the reader where and when the story
takes place. The Theme conveys a message.
