The poster must be bright, colourful, have pictures that relate to the subject you chose and the facts must be clear and understandable. What you need: A4 or A3 paper (you can use plain paper or coloured card) The tle of the subject you are wring about (horses, cars, football, space, ballet… any- thing!) The 3 facts you learnt about that subject. Pictures – can be hand drawn or printed from a computer or cut our of a magazine. Anything else - Use paints, felt p pens or pencils, material, glue, sparkles, glier… go crazy! But don’t forget we need to be able to read your 3 facts! Prove it – hand it in in September to make a lovely Informaon Book display! This summer I am challenging you to a summer of

reading fun. The idea is to spend some time with

your family, read some great books and learn a few

things along the way!

You have 8 weeks to do 8 challenges

You can complete the challenges in any order

You must be able to prove you have completed each

challenge and hand back the booklet and any extra work/

photos

Challenge 1 - Book photobomb

Take a photo of your friends or family with

your book in the background without them

knowing it is there!

What you need:

Camera or camera phone

Unsuspecting family or friends

A book (any book, but preferably one you are reading) in the back-

ground of your photo.

Prove it – bring in the photo to _________________ in September or email

it to _______________________________

Challenge 2 – Story time

Ask a male member of your family to read you a story, book or chapter.

What you need:

A dad, stepdad, uncle, brother or cousin

A good book, short story or picture book (we will allow a few

chapters of a longer book)

Prove it: Get them to sign below and return this to me:

Challenge 3 - AHHH! The school library is under attack!

The school library has been attacked by Aliens from another planet

who want to steal all our lovely reading books!

Thankfully the librarian is a super hero, who will save all the library

books.

Challenge 5 – Desert Island books

You are trapped on a Desert Island and have only 3 books with you

to read until you are rescued!

Ask a female relative (mum, sister, cousin or auntie) to recommend

3 books they think would help you survive!
