Today, students are encouraged by their universities to bring their own technological devices to class and use it as a learning tool

Allowing students to use their own devices for school purposes, is beneficial as they are familiar with their device in which result with them better understanding the information and being more engaged.

Students who own devices are most likely including their own applications in which they use daily. This creates a distraction andtheir inability to fully grasp on to the content provided.

Most college students, addition to their notes that they take on Microsoft Word also juggles using

social media which causes distraction and them to lose focus/ not fully grasp the content given.


Instead of the traditional chalk in hand method, instructors nowadays resort to Powerpoint presentation.


The art of pencil writing has decreased significantly over the past years due to the accessibility in typing notes instead.

Soon in developed countries, the need for technology will be in a rise while textbooks and handheld school utensils will decline

Students will no long have to sit passively in the lecture hall but view the content online in the comfort of their home

Instead of a four year degree, students may choose to pick up online courses from different Universities.


The iPads are now used to annotate different lecture slides with the additional information while the lecturer is talking.


Technology is changing the way that students learn, allowing them to be in the more fast paced, instant generation


Millennial that are born now, will be integrated into this “new” education system
