The DoctorateHUB thus wants to provide you with just the right guides, exercises, training materials, practitioner stories, and alike, as well as a place where to connect and interact.

We will hand-pick, contextualize, and synthesize the most utile guides and practitioner stories that are published at the HUB, or shared by you, and thus turn the tacit explicit.

We want to support professional doctoral practitioners in their long journey alongside… learning to think; identifying, seeing through and articulating a research problem, a research question, or hypotheses; problematizing and formulation of unbiased problem statements; differentiating in between own problems and problems as such; establishing the problem in isolation of random solutions; understanding the relation of research problem, research question, and research outcomes, and how these differ from solutions; searching for relevant literature and understanding what is relevant; evaluate, assess and analyze what stands in the literature; critically and logically evaluating the validity of research outcomes presented in the literature and based upon the evidence provided in it; using the literature to define, identify and/or apply conceptual frameworks; to understand how the literature relates to your research problem, research question, or hypotheses; research design and execution, including possible methods and methodologies for data collection, analysis and evaluations; identification, application to own research and justification of the research methods and methodologies in the light of identified key literature sources; data collection and sampling techniques, analysis and evaluation of research outcomes and to derive conclusions from it; writing and articulation skills; establishing a focus and derive a narrative in accordance; establishing a consistent writing style and terminology; identifying and establishing key terms; scoping of literature concepts and terminology into your own thesis structure and terminology; presenting and communicating your work, and techniques to discuss or defend it; avoiding randomness and the human quest of being creative and novel; understanding what is relevant and what not, and to let go of not relevant things; reading the right amount, and to evaluate what right actually means; establishing and complying to boundaries; handling self-doubt, anxiety, and feelings of being overwhelmed; overcoming frustrations and feelings of not being capable to perform as expected; understanding and overcoming procrastination; to name just a few of the various training fields…

Dr. Pascale Hardy, >20 years academic experience in US and European Universities through various senior academic roles including leading professional doctorates in Management and Education that trained more than eight hundred professional doctoral students since 2010. Dr. Nii Amoo, >10 years experience as scholar-practitioner working with over 300 doctoral students and practitioners to help them achieve their doctoral level degrees, and who acted as internal and external examiner in a number of viva voce assessments. Dr. Andreas Meiszner, >10 years experience in the development and execution of research, training and capacity building projects within Europe and across the globe, managing in-house teams and globally distributed external research, development and training teams; tutored, mentored and coached approximately 500 professional doctoral students since 2012.
