- The Killers are an American alternative rock band. They are from Las Vegas, Nevada. They formed the band in 2001

- From 2002 to the present they play concerts in many places.

- The band members of The Killers are, Brandon Flowers (lead vocals and keyboards), Dave Keuning (guitar and vocals), Mark Stoermer (bass guitar and vocals) and Ronnie Vannucci Jr. (percussion and drums).

The Beginning

The Killers first started when Brandon Flowers was abandoned by his first band “Blush Response”, in 2001. Brandon Flowers met Dave Keuning after responding to an ad in The Sun newspaper. The ad was for band members. Brandon and Dave decided to name the band “The Killers”. Later on Mark Stoermer and Ronnie Vannucci Jr. Came to join the band “The Killers”.

Hot Fuss The Killers released Hot Fuss in June 2004 in

the United Kingdom on Marrakesh Records and the United States on Island Records.

Sam’s Town The Killers’ second album was Sam’s Town. It

was released October, 2006.The album sold over 700 000 copies world wide, that was only the first week of the release of it. Sam’s Town later on than sold over a million copies by January, 2007.

Sawdust• Sawdust was released

November, 2007. It contains B-sides, rarities and some new material. Spider-Man 3 soundtrack is included on later pressings of Saw Dust.

The album’s first single “Tranquilize” was released October, 2007. The Album also contains the song “Ruby, Don’t Take Your Love To Town”, “Romeo and Juliet” and the first pressing of Sawdust contained a rare demo version of “Move Away”.

Day & Age The third album The Killers

released was Day & Age. It came out November 24, 2008 in the UK and November 25, 2008 in North America. The first single from this album was “Human”, which was originally planned for Sawdust.

Christmas Charity • In December 2006 they released a Christmas

charity song, “A Great Big Sled”. Which followed by the release of “Don’t Shoot Me Santa” in November 2007. In 2008 they released their third Christmas single “Joseph, Better You Than Me”.

Brandon Flowers

Brandon Flowers is the youngest out of 6 kids. He was born June 21, 1981 in Las Vegas, Nevada, U.S. In his career he can play the keyboard, piano, bass guitar and he sings. He was in a band “The Blush Response”. Later on they wanted to move to Los Angeles, California.

• But, Brandon Flowers didn’t want to. So the whole band abandoned him. That’s how he met Dave Keuning, which that’s how The Killers started.
