Old name of Izmir was „Smyrna“

The Turkish fought against the Greek invasion.

Every year on 9th September the Turks celebrate the liberation of the city with official ceremonies.

It was the last phase of the Turkish Independence War.

Reunification Day

Since1990 the 3th October is a bank holiday

Germany was split in two pieces:

-DDR

-The west (BDR)

Throught Germany was a strict controlled wall

At the 9th November 1989 was the fall of the wall

Reunification at the 3th October 1990

-Federal Republic of Germany
