Participants:• There were 17 participants from: Spain, Germany, Italy, Romania, Croatia,

Greece, Poland and Latvia.

Objectives:

• To clarify concepts such as visibility, dissemination, and exploitation of results (DEOR) within the context of the Erasmus + programme

• To upgrade participants in the strategies of Visibility & DEOR, defined by Erasmus +

• To facilitate the exchange of good practices and experiences with each other in this subject

• To provide useful tools for working the Visibility & DEOR• To increase the the Visibility & DEOR-ability on participants’ projects

VISIBILITY

• To make projects visible...Simple!!!• Second point could be: “Ok, visible, aha, good... but to whom?” Answer is “as

much people as possible, mainly at local level”.• Each organisation knows what is the local context and how to let information go

to the population, some projects send press releases to every media, other one could stick out posters or try to be interviewed by local radios... It is possible to create a blog or even a website for free, even making an interview and post it in your webpage in order to make it accessible... or a short video!

Visibility Tools:• Brochures, leaflets, USB sticks, posters, balloons, pencils, public events,

radio broadcasts, press releases, bags, logos, T-shirts, photos with watermarks, tutorials, videos, handbooks, manuals, newsletters, calendars, seminars, workshops, street actions, websites, blogs, social media, TV appearances

VISIBILITY PLANNING (Strategy):

• We need to take into consideration:• -time• -participants• -capacity of our organization• -stakeholders involved• -resources available• -target group• -the aims

RESULTS• Achievements of the European activity or project that received EU funding.• The type of result will vary according to the type of the project

Results can be classified as:• 1. Output (tangible results)• 2. Outcomes (intangible results)

TANGIBLE RESULTS:• a tangible product which is produced by a given project and may be quantified• Outputs can be accessible products like curricula, research studies, websites,

handbooks, manuals, case studies, e-learning tools, brochures etc.

INTANGIBLE RESULTS:• Intangible added value achieved through the achievement of the project

objectives and targets• Knowledge and experience gained by participants, learners or staff• Increased skills or achievements• Improved cultural awareness• Better language skills

Results should be:

• Results should be developed in such a way that they can be:• -tailored to the needs of the target group• -transferred to new areas• -sustained after the funding period• -used to influence future policy and practice

DISSEMINATION

• Dissemination = spreading information about the results of the projects to key actors.

• To effectively disseminate results, an appropriate process at the beginning of the project needs to be designed.

• This should cover: WHY, WHAT, HOW, WHEN, TO WHOM, WHERE disseminating results will take place during and after the funding period

Exploitation of Results

• Exploitation = making sure the outcomes and products of the projects are effectively used. Going a step further and making sure that your product makes a difference and is used in other projects or policies.

Exploitation of the result

• Exploitation of the result talks about how useful is the result, how many times is used or how (it is not only about numbers!). Of course we will never know exactly when and how a result will be used, but at least we can try to have some way to get as much information as possible. For example: if there is a webpage, a video or a blog, we can know how many people visit it. If we publish a digital tool on internet, there are some ways to know about how many people download it.

How to disseminate and exploit results:

• In order to reach as many people possible, it is advisable to translate as many communication materials and project outputs in as many languages as possible. It is recommended to cover all languages of the partnership and English.

How to disseminate and exploit results:

• Being creative and thinking of fresh ideas so that the Erasmus + project stands out is appreciated. Beneficiaries could use:

• -organizational or project website• -meetings and visits to key stakeholders• -information sessions such as workshops, seminars, training courses,

exhibitions, demonstrations• -targeted written materials: reports, articles, press releases, newsletters,

leaflets, brochures• -audio-visual media, social media• -public events
