BACKGROUND

Warp Films was founded by partners Rob Mitchell and Steve

Beckett, who also previously established Warp Records.

The initial funding came from NESTA (National Endowment

for Science, Technology and the Arts), an independent charity

that helps to fund arts and science projects in the UK.

‘My Wrongs 8245–8249 & 117’ was the first production by

Warp Films.

STRUCTURE

Warp Films is an independent film company, with a sister

company in music, called Warp Records, which means it can

use cross media convergence to boost profit.

It also has two divisions:

- Warp X

- Warp Films Australia

Warp X is the branch of Warp Films that makes feature

films.
