Mexican sense of humor is hard to grasp, but we really appreciate a good joke. Even in high level corporate firms a good sense of humor it is always welcome. Why is it hard to get the Mexican sense of humor? Because we make fun of everything, we don´t take things so serious, we even make fun of death!

We are family and religious orientated culture, we make fun of everything, but we highly respect females, I know, you will say Mexicans are machist, and yes we are! But we have in general a high respect for the mother figure, specially the mother figure, just double check that your presentation does not include any of these topics.

We are always late! (Oh how this drive Americans crazy!) that is not to say that it is ok to be late, and actually a lot of Mexicans in USA are never late (it is amazing!) but back in Mexico we really don´t have the same concept of time. Been on time could be 5-10min after the set time, even 15 min, and been late goes up to 30-45min, they will came in to the room make in up 10 excuses on why they are late, and believe it or not for us it is ok.

I regularly make my presentations with an onword-foreword at the beginning and at the end of each chapter as reminders just in case that someone is late, that way they can understand where we are.
