Victorian Certificate of

Education (VCE)

A credential awarded to secondary school students who have already completed their high school level studies ( Year 11 and 12

or the equivalent) in the Australian state of Victoria.

Advantages of VCE

1. Can be obtained without taking the year and exams.

2. To replace High School Certificate (HSC) credential certificate.

Structure of VCE

1. VCE studies are categorized into 4 units where 1 unit covers one

semester.2. A unit is comprised of a set number of

results (usually two or three).

3. Subject choice relies on the choice of school.

4. In VCE course, students are not required to complete all the units of a subject.
