A person who is incompetent in spoken and written English will find a "Business English" programme difficult to cope with. E-mails, memorandums, formal letters and reports need both clarity and accuracy in writing to impart the intended message. Clarity and accuracy are achieved by dint of hard work in the study of grammar, syntax and sentence structures. Any other way than the mastery of these three areas is a waste of time. Time which can be better utilised for productive pursuits. Therefore, strive to be proficient in the English language with all its intricacies before embarking on a "Business English" programme.
