For ChildrenFANTASY LEGO CREATIONS CONTESTBack by popular demand! Are you a master Lego brick builder? Do you love creating amazing creations? Want to show off your skills? The Pickering Public Library is holding a contest for all builders to demonstrate their Legomania. Build your most impressive Fantasy themed Lego brick creation and bring it to the Library to enter in our contest. Build anything you can imagine, from spaceships to robots, mon-sters to mermaids, just go and build it!

JK/SKGrade 1-3Grade 4-6

1. The person/persons entering the contest must be present for the judging.2. You must have your creation at the

Central Library by 12:00 p.m. on June 2nd. Entries can only be brought in on the 2nd.

3. You must register your entry by May 30th.4. No Lego construction kits allowed,

or instructions from the internet, magazine or book. This has to be your own creation!5. Your entry must be accompanied by

an entry form and have a title.

Grade 7-9 Grade 10 and above: Anyone can enter, adults too!Group: All ages, a group of friends or family members can work on this category together!

MARJORIE HARRIS, CANADA’S GARDENING GURUMarjorie will talk about gardening today and gardening on a budget as well as discuss her new book, Thrifty Gardening from the Ground Up. Registration for this program is required and is open now. At the Central Library:Wednesday, May 2nd from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

PHOTOGRAPH ORGANIZING SEMINAR WITH JANET BLUNTJanet is a member of the Association of Personal Photo Organizers. Janet will explain how to care for your photographs, share your photographs and preserve the important stories they represent. Registration for this program is required and is open now.At the Central Library:Wednesday, May 9th from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
