Most loan officers see themselves as salespeople who sell a product. Why else would they be so worried about what rate their company is offering? A professional advisor is a provider of services and it is the VALUE of that person’s service that determines the cost. One attorney may charge $2000 per hour and have a waiting list for clients while another may charge $20 per hour and be struggling to find one client. The same is true with CPA’s, financial advisors and any other true professional service pservice provider. Mortgage Coach enables me to SHOW my clients that I am a professional advisor and not a mortgage salesman.

Mortgage Coach gives me a simple educational tool that I can use for clients and real estate agents. It allows the client to see the overall cost of the loan and does not focus as much on rate (which is important in a TBD consult). Once there is a contract Edge is extremely helpful in giving specific examples with visual aides to the client, again focusing on the cost of the overall loan not just rate. Examples are when an FHA loan’s rate is lower and a conventional is higher; it is much easier to discuss the cost of the MI on a FHA vs PMI on a conventional if they qualify for both. It usually is very clear which product makes since for the client. EDGE allows the Groff Team to present option to the client in a poption to the client in a professional manor. EDGE also adds value to both the client and us as a Groff Team allowing us to deliver clear, concise & usable information to our clients when they are looking at mortgage needs.
