What is Structural Designing

Structural Designing : Structural Designing is a field of civil  engineering dealing with the analysis and design of structures that support or resist loads.

This involves analysis of Moments, Displacement, Reactions and Internal Forces of the modelled structure and hence design it to the design requirements.

Why AxisVMIt is the one of the best software available in the industry whose results can be directly relied upon. Its graphic user interface is so supportive that it can be learnt even without any external help.

Analysis Results are accurate to high degree and ready to use by the engineers. All real life loads can be very easily applied in AxixVM.

Distinguishing Features Easy to learn

Interactive GUI(Graphic User Interface)

3D modeling is easy and attractive

Different types of materials like Masonry, Timber, Concrete, Steel can be assigned

It shows the line elements with respective object contours

Commands are divided in tabs

Self weight is easiest to assign

Distinguishing

Features Support fixity can be defined

Non linear Analysis can be performed

Spring Systems can be assigned

Nodes can be defined and hence edited

Degree of freedom of nodes can be defined

User friendly pic and drop Element Toolbar

Distinguishing

Features Its results can be used directly by the engineer

Input method is Floor by floor, column by column, bay by bay and wall by wall.

Based on finite element mesh for all elements including beams and columns.

Also various options of Mesh variations are allowed in AxisVM.

Elements in AxisVMETABS and Staad.Pro draw line elements like beams, columns etc. which can be rendered later. But AxisVM facilitates its user to view the contour lines of various elements on the go. This helps the user to see the correct orientation of the elements which he assigns. Also AxisVM has a special a rendering option where it shows the original texture of the element.
