The MIKRON HPM600U and MIKRONHPM 800U machines have beendesigned in view of automated pallethandling. As the pallet changingsystem is integrated in the machineitself, the accessibility to the workingroom is always perfect, with orwithout automation.

In the loading station the raw partswill be set up on the pallet, while themachine is machining the work pieceon the other pallet.This greatly increases the productivityof the machine.

With the pallet changer the unpro-ductive set-up time will be reduced toa pallet changing time of less than 30seconds. For overall accessibility tothe parts on the pallet, the loadingstation can be rotated manually.

To increase the autonomy, there arevery compact pallet magazines avail-able which can be loaded with up to12 pallets with optimal ergonomics.With every automation solution thepallets can be loaded up to 500 kg.

Multiple workpieces in the palletmagazine require multiple tools.

The 3 pallet dimensions are availablewith thread holes. Additionally, the sizes 500 x 630 mmand 500 x 500 mm come with T-slots.Optionally the pallet in the loadingstation can be hydraulically raised inorder to be rotated manually.

From 30 to 200 tools can be selectedin different expansion stages.

Workpieces can be cleaned with a wetvacuum cleaner. ( Preparation)

28000 min-¹ / HSK-A63This spindle has a water cooled rotorshaft (CoolCore) which stabilizes thetemperature and consequently theexpansion in the rotor shaft. Thisfeature allows very accuratemachining, because it minimizesthermal influences of the spindle.

Through tool coolant is an availableoption.

Whichever machine configuration youchoose, with a MIKRON HPM you getthe most state-of-the-art tool spindletechnology: vector control for fulltorque in the lower speed range,highly stable ceramic hybrid spindlebearing, and spindle casing coolingusing a controlled coolant system forconsistent temperatures for the entireduration of the work.

The complexly developed inline toolspindles from StepTec are designedwith high torques for the removal oflarge chip volumes. This spindle par-ticularly stands out due to its easy-to-maintain construction and automatic-ally oil/air lubricated ceramic hybridbearing system.

All tools visibleTools are visible through a window onthe front of the magazine. Damagedtools can be quickly identified andreplaced. If tools are required onother machines, you can see straightaway where each tool is.

Smooth and swiftThe magazine chain (60 tools) ismoved and positioned by a controlleddrive. The tools therefore glide swiftlyand smoothly to the changing position.This means that tools can be madeavailable much more quickly.Vibrations that could have a negativeimpact on the milling process are alsoprevented.

High-Speed and High-Performance Milling CentersIn terms of cutting speed, HSM centers are 10 times faster thanconventional milling machines. Greater accuracy and a better surfacefinish are also achieved.
