What should we do or follow in a new work place? Research your environment before diving in.

Safety. Respect everyone. Punctuality & Sincerity. Practice saying yes. Don't complain. To be innovative. To be challenging. To be confident. Separate your personal and professional lives.  Dress for success.

Research your environment before diving in.Sometimes you'll be able to get a sneak peek

of what to expect--for example, you might be able to find company videos, YouTube channels. or helpful blogs and forums to prepare you for your first day. You can also glean tips from what employees write on. Knowing how relaxed (or not) a company is, what the "average worker" is like in your department, or the general dress code can help you prep for fitting in.

Safety.

Read operating manuals before using a new tool or equipment Watch out for others Tell a safety coordinator or HR manager if you observe an

employee who is impaired at work by alcohol or drugs - don't wait until someone gets hurt

Keep the work area clean and report any slip, trip or fall hazards on the job

Don't be afraid to ask for help and guidance Don't rush Wear the proper personal protective equipment and clothing If  you are experiencing pain from doing a job or using a tool

report it to a supervisor or safety manager Do not play practical jokes on the jobsite Stay on the "safe side" of equipment if there is one.

Respect everyone.

It doesn't matter where you are in the pecking order or where anyone else is. Treat everyone with the same high level of respect, from the entry-level employee to the CEO. Nobody cares where you went to school or how great of a student you were. Don’t be arrogant. Don’t try to act like a managing partner from first day. It’s OK to be junior. Nobody expects you to be managing the whole division. In fact, they’ll resent you if you try to act like you are.

Punctuality & Sincerity.

One has to be timekeeping about ones duty. Entering & leaving time is also an important factor. Honesty and sincerity is also need to go up.

Practice saying yes.

You might feel overwhelmed, but as a newbie always say yes if someone asks you for coffee, to lunch, to volunteer on a project or just about anything else. Being agreeable comes before being a pushover. You have to prove yourself before you can say no.

Don't complain.

In your first few weeks, you have no room for complaint. Take initiative, look into why things are done the way they are, and take everything as a learning experience. You need to master the field before you start making suggestions.

To be innovative.

From day one, confirm that you bring something new to the table. If this applies to your new position, be sure to offer your boss or colleagues ideas for how to enhance the product or company. Most young professionals in a new job take the back seat the first few days. “Be there to contribute, or to volunteer for a project when nobody else raises their hand.”

To be challenging.

Just because you did some research before your interview doesn’t mean you know enough to be successful there. Look back at old projects, and find out what has worked for the company or your team in the past. Once you’ve had the opportunity to become acquainted with your new workplace, evaluated the work environment, observed your fellow employees, and surveyed the office protocol, work flow and discourse, you should set goals for yourself.

Getting through the first few days, weeks or months in a new job is tough, but remember to focus on what you want to get out of the experience.

To be confident.

Don’t be narcissistic, but show your colleagues that you deserve to be there. Don’t hesitate to share your thoughts, and believe in your ability to succeed in your new position. One way to exhibit confidence: invite your colleagues to lunch. Haefner says this tactic shows that you aren’t the typical quiet new employee.

Communicate

Always be in touch and in tune. Speak up and ask questions, make suggestions and periodically check in with your boss. “Listening is just as important as speaking,”. Start a conversation with your boss to ask how you’re doing.

Don’t expect constructive feedback without asking directly for it.

People won’t communicate expectations clearly (you must ask, clarify, ask again).

Separate your personal and professional lives.

Once you’re settled in, avoid making personal calls, sending personal emails or taking long lunch breaks. Show that you are dedicated to your new job and that you want to be there. If you have nothing to do, offer to take on another task or help a colleague who looks overloaded. Not only will you impress the boss, but the days will fly by.

Dress for success.

Start by recreating your wardrobe and sprucing up your appearance. Dress appropriately for the job you’ve landed. Remember that first impressions can be lasting. If you’re dressed to impress, you probably will. “One size doesn’t fit all,” “People assume ‘professional’ means a suit, but it depends on the company or industry”.
