Blink 182 are a well known ‘pop-punk’ band originating from San Diego California. With Tom Delonge and Mark Hoppus both singing lead vocals, they both add a whole different feel to the pop-punk genre. Also with pro drummer Travis Barker, who covers nearly every song known, who is also number twenty-odd best drummer in the world, their music really has pace and professionalism. They’ve been known since 1992, and since then have created some epic songs, some of them world known…literally.What I like about Blink-182 is that in their photos there is no stereotype of power. They most usually in modern photo shoots stand side by side to show equality. For example, lead singer and bass guitarist Mark Hoppus is closest to the floor, and the drummer is half way. This surely destroys the usual stereotype.

BLINK-182 may not seem to take their band or music seriously. But it is totally the opposite. They create a laid back sort of feel, with “I DON’T CARE” screaming out at you, or indeed something along those lines.

They are made to look like big kids, like immaturity, messing around and the attributes a child may possess. Infact, they even wrote a song about it:Blink 182 What's my age again, originally called Peter Pan Complex which is a term used to describe an adult who is socially immature.

A Day To Remember is another American rock band known for their metalcore/punk rock genres. Their created genre opens a whole new era for music, hence a great inspiration.

In both of the pictures present, the lead singer is obviously standing out, in the first, he is the man in the middle with the light coloured top. He might not be the tallest character, but his status is heightened, simply because he is in the middle.

In the second picture, it may not be clear to some. The band appear to be fighting, creating a more “hard” sort of brutal look. The band members seem to be all over the place, and the lead singer is not at the front, however, he is still clearly shown, as he is the only one looking straight at the camera pulling a sort of ‘growling’ type face.

The band, even though attempting to look more hardened, wear light coloured tops, making them stand out more of photos and showing they don’t necessarily follow any fashion, however they always wear dark pants of some kind, pulling them back into the darker side of music.

ALEXISONFIRE is a post-hardcore band also from America. Like A Day To Remember, they mix in many different genres into their music, like punk rock and hardcore for example. In-fact, I have placed a music video by them on my Blog. The bands appearance is similar to A Day To Remember! The lead singer is in the middle with his tattoo’s on show. Tattoo’s bring more of a rebellious look to a band, and in some places is associated with “roughness”.

Another awesome band for tattoo’s has to be Dead By April shown left. Again the tattoo’s symbolize brutality

I have created four album covers for my created band “face down nothing”. The one directly right, is a design my by brother (a former tattoo artist), but it is unfinished, hence the album name. The two directly below are showing the bands more serious side, showing their professionalism etc. And finally the cover bottom right is showing that the band can be funny, basically showing their immaturity.
