Blink 182

Blink-182 is an American Pop Punk band that has sold over 27 million albums worldwide since they formed in 1992. With many singles hitting the top 10, and their album Take Off Your Pants and Jacket reaching number 1 in the charts, the boys form one of the world’s most known Pop Punk band ever.

We chose them as an inspiration and ‘template’ for our own band ‘Disturb the Balance’ due to their relative success, and also several awards for their music videos themselves. Our theme of ‘rebellion’ and ‘social outcasts’ is a recurring theme in most Pop Punk videos and songs- including many of Blink’s. Their portrayal of teenage hood provides most of the inspiration for our own video; including lots of skateboarding, alcohol and shots of random people.

The band’s own dress style is also fundamental in the development of our bands look- though with a more modern twist- with the ripped jeans, and skate tees being very apparent in our own band.
