Chroma keying and its application An awesome method of getting a photo in front of a historic landmark is by using green screen photography. Green screen photography is where a picture is taken in front of a screen which is then digitally cut out and placed onto a different background. The vast majority of weather forecasts are performed in front of a green screen. The film is overlaid onto the weather map either in real time or afterwards if the forecast is pre-recorded. The screen must be a colour that is simple to remove but also, one that isn't a common clothing colour. This is why the background is generally green. Sometimes you get blue screens but they are much less common as they often clash with clothing. Chroma keying was first used in weather forecasting but this concept was adopted in television and film too. A great example of this was the mythical children’s television series, Knightmare. Here dungeoneers appeared and disappeared using Chroma keying technology. Knightmare was revolutionary at the time and marked a notable milestone. Chroma keying is excellent fun, in spite of being a digital photography technique. Green screen photography can be used in lots of different circumstances. One of which is at parties. Children’s parties are the most common however it also works very well at adult parties also. Friends can dress up in costumes and pose for a number of different photographs. As the background will be digitally added, you'll be able to practically be photographed in any setting. Chroma keying is just a photography method. How it is used though is down to the photographer. A superb way is by getting people to dress up and take pictures with each other. Combining themed photography with Chroma keying is excellent at parties. Just imagine a party where you are able to be whoever you want and you can have your photo taken virtually anywhere. It is terrific fun plus the photographs are pretty amusing. Trade shows have a tendency to be incredibly busy but delegates usually do not always go to all of the exhibition stands. A fantastic method of getting delegates over is by doing something a little bit different and something that sticks out. Chroma keying unquestionably stands out and it's great fun. You will be able to put your logo on each picture which helps with brand awareness. The majority of green screen photographers offer live printing that allows you to print the photographs live at the event with your logo on it. The delegates can then take a photo home. This will without doubt help delegates remember your organisation and can help with general brand awareness.
