Golden Valley Golf and Country Club is recognized as one of the finest and most enjoyable courses to play in the state. A.W. Tillinghast is world renowned for his imaginative use of terrain, and our course offers a testing challenge for low handicap players, while at the same time being eminently enjoyable for the higher handicappers.

Golden Valley Golf and Country Club is the most scenic, challenging, yet rewarding and golfer-friendly course you would ever want to play. It’s hard to believe it exists in an urban setting minutes away from anywhere in town. The fairways and greens are kept in top playing condition—allowing you to enjoy the natural beauty, prime location and best amenities a golf course has to offer!

Practice facilities include a multi-use driving range, a 3-hole pitch-and-putt course and two putting greens.

The clubhouse features 10,000 square feet of banquet and meeting space with vaulted ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, and all the upscale amenities that are expected of a premier club.

Driving RangeThe facilities at Golden Valley Golf and Country Club include a challenging driving range to sharpen your game. To add more dimension to this beautiful practice facility, our driving range is uniquely designed with rolling terrain, which incorporates strategically placed greens.

Golf CartsMotorized carts are included in the golf outing package price.

RegistrationOn the day of your golf outing, we will set a location for you to check in your guests as they arrive.

Tournament ScoringWe include computerized golf cart signage and scorecards. We will provide assistance with tournament scoring, prepare score cards and arrange golf cart assignments.

Locker RoomGolden Valley Golf and Country Club boasts fine locker facilities with steward services, such as club cleaning and shoe shining.

LessonsThe teaching staff at Golden Valley Golf and Country Club are all dedicated PGA-accredited professionals, providing both private and group lessons.

Golden Valley Golf and Country Club is pleased to provide catering and event planning services to you and your guests. We hope that the following information will answer any questions you have about our services.

Our professional staff is happy to assist you with rental items and decorations such as tables, chairs, tents, floral arrangements, balloon decorations, ice carvings and other items.

Deposits and PaymentsA booking is not considered definite or confirmed until the appropriate deposit has been received and a signed contract has been returned. The deposit reserves the Client’s event date. Payments shall be made according to the schedule in the contract. All payments are non-refundable. Corporate events for which credit has been approved a minimum of thirty (30) days prior to the event may be billed according to our policies. In such cases, the remaining balance is due thirty (30)daysfromdateofinvoice.Afinancechargeofupto1.5%permonth,anannualrateof18%,may be assessed on all past due accounts.

Meal GuaranteeMenu selections must be received at least twenty-one (21) days prior to the date of your event. The minimum guarantee for meal service is equivalent to the minimum guarantee for tee times plus any additional meals.

Food and BeverageAll food, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages must be prepared and supplied by Golden Valley Golf and Country Club. Neither the client nor guests may bring in any food or beverages onto thepremises.Duetohealthdepartmentregulations,foodandbeveragenotconsumed,becomethe property of Golden Valley Golf and Country Club. On-course food and beverage service is available at the Halfway House. Additional on-course beverage cart service is available for a fee. The Sixth Tee beverage station may also be available for a fee if minimum purchase is not met. An account can be arranged to offer hosted items to your guests if desired. All food, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are subject to applicable sales tax. A service charge will be added to all food and beverage charges. The service charge is the property of Golden Valley Golf and Country Club and not of the employees.

Health and Insurance RegulationsAll food, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages must be supplied, prepared and served by Golden Valley Golf and Country Club with the exception of specialty cakes which must be obtained from a licensed and insured bakery. Homemade cakes are not allowed. If Client chooses to obtain acakefromalicensedandinsuredbakerytherewillbea$2.00perguestfee.

Duetohealthdepartmentregulations,foodandbeveragenotconsumedbecomethepropertyof Golden Valley Golf and Country Club. Neither the Client nor his/her guests may bring to or remove from premise any food or beverages.

Alcoholic Beverage ServiceBarservicemaybeoffereduntil12:30a.m.Allalcoholicbeveragesmustbeprovidedandservedby employees of Golden Valley Golf and Country Club. The legal drinking age in the state of Minnesota is 21 for all alcoholic beverages. No alcoholic beverages are permitted to leave the facility. In accordance with the laws of our state, we reserve the right of our trained staff to assess the level of alcoholic consumption and act accordingly, even if this differs from the original contract.Allhostandcashbarsmustmeetaminimumof$400.00perbar,perfunctionortheclientwillbebilleda$150.00bartenderfee. Service Charge and TaxAll food, non-alcoholic beverages, liquor, beer and wine are subject to a service charge. The entire service charge is the property of Golden Valley Golf and Country Club. The service charge is not the property of any one employee and will be dispersed at the discretion of Golden Valley Golf and Country Club.

All food, non-alcoholic beverages, liquor, beer, wine, subcontracted rentals and catering-related servicesaresubjecttoanappropriatesalestax.TheMinnesotaDepartmentofrevenuerequiresGolden Valley Golf and Country Club to request a “Certificate of Exemption” from the above namedClientiftheyqualifyfortaxexemption.Documentationfortaxexemptstatusmustbereturned with signed contract. If proof of exemption is not provided with your signed contract, Golden Valley Golf and Country Club will charge applicable taxes.

Banquet Event Order FormAllClientsarerequiredtocompleteandapproveaBanquetEventOrderformdetailingeventlogistics, such as times for guest arrival, beverage and meal service, entertainment, outside vendors, etc. This ensures that all event details have been approved by the Client and Golden ValleyGolfandCountryClub.FloorplansandlogisticsmustbefinalizedatthetimetheBanquetEventOrderformiscompleted.GoldenValleyGolfandCountryClubreservestheright to control all sound and lighting on the premises.

Cancellation PolicyIn the event of a cancellation of the Golf Outing, a written notice to Golden Valley Golf and Country Club must be received.

Cancellation charges will apply as follows:If such notice is received, Golden Valley Golf and Country Club will retain the deposit in full.

If such notice is received 120-60 days prior to the scheduled date of the Golf Outing, Golden Valley Golf and Country Club will charge the client one half of the per person package price stated above, times the minimum number of participants specified above.

If such notice is received less than 60 days prior to the scheduled date of the Golf Outing, Golden Valley Golf and Country Club will charge the client the full per person package price stated above, times the minimum number of participants specified above.

If the number of people for a shotgun group outing decreases within twenty-one (21) days, you will be responsible for your last given guarantee, prior to twenty-one (21) days.

Golf GuaranteeThe Player Count and Estimated Total are due fourteen (14) days prior to your event. Complete pairings (foursome names) are required seven (7) days prior to the Golf Outing. Lists must be typed and either emailed or faxed to us. Please note that time constraints on the day of your Golf Outing will preclude any last-minute changes to your pairings list.

Rain PolicyDuetocourseconditionscreatedbyinclementweather,GoldenValleyGolfandCountryClubreserves the right to restrict the use of motorized golf carts, and, if necessary, to close the golf course on the day of the Client’s Golf Outing. If motorized carts are not allowed on the day of the Golf Outing, Golden Valley Golf and Country Club will reduce the per-person charge by an amount equal to the cart fee included in the per-person charge, the Client will remain obligated for the remainder per-person charge.

In the event the Maintenance/Golf Staff closes the course because of severe weather, green fee adjustments may be made by the Head Golf Professional. Six holes or more of golf completed will be considered a “complete” Golf Outing and will not be rescheduled. If the course is not closed, play is expected to continue. In the event that you or any of your guests chooses to discontinue play, you will be responsible for the full amount of the package price.

Ifa“complete”GolfOutingoccurs,theFoodandBeverageportionsoftheGolfOutingwillcontinue on the originally scheduled day. If necessary, Golden Valley Golf and Country Club will adjust meal times to the best of its ability to accommodate the Client’s needs.

Golf CartsAll carts must be kept on paths, where provided. Carts must remain on the path on all par 3 holes. If paths are unavailable, please scatter cart traffic following directional signs and ropes. Players may take carts onto fairways only to cross to the other side. At no time shall carts be driven closer than fifty (50) feet from greens and bunkers.

Uptosixty(65)motorizedgolfcartsareincludedinthepackageprice.Foroutingsinexcessof130 golfers, extra carts will need to be ordered from an outside contractor. The minimum order is 10, and will be billed at contractor’s price. Please convey your cart needs, including Volunteer Carts, as soon as possible to ensure availability.

Course MaintenanceClient agrees to replace divots, repair ball marks on greens, and rake bunkers caused by event attendees. The group shall be liable for all damages to the facilities, grounds and golf carts caused by event attendees. To protect the quality of your golfing experience, Golden Valley Golf and Country Club does not allow metal spikes. All golfers must wear athletic shoes or shoes with plastic or ceramic spikes.

Proper AttireProper attire, including a shirt, must be worn at all times while playing golf. The wearing of golf shortsispermitted.Notanktops,mini-skirts,mini-shortsortennisshortspermitted.Bluejeansare not permitted. The host is responsible for communicating this information to all participants.

Smoking PolicyGolden Valley Golf and Country Club is a non-smoking facility in compliance with the Minnesota Indoor Clean Air Act. Smoking is limited to designated outdoor locations.

AudiovisualIn-house audiovisual supplies are available through the catering department. We will coordinate your AV and technical support needs based on the fee schedule outlined in the menu. All charges will be added to the Client’s account. It is necessary that all audiovisual orders be confirmed three (3) business days prior to your event to ensure availability. Golden Valley Golf and Country Club is not responsible for, and will be unable to provide, any technical assistance to audiovisual equipment that the Client provides.

Theft and DamagesClient agrees to be responsible for any damages or theft to the premises, its furniture, fixtures, equipment and table accessories by guest, invitees or employees of other agents utilized by the Client.

LiabilityGolden Valley Golf and Country Club does not assume responsibility for injury to any persons or damage to or loss of any merchandise, equipment of personal belongings.

Advertising / Program PolicyAny printed materials or advertising referring to the use of Golden Valley Golf and Country Club or its premises with the respect to the event must receive prior written approval from Golden Valley Golf and Country Club. All entertainment and programs at Golden Valley Golf and Country Club facilities must receive written approval by Golden Valley Golf and Country ClubonorbeforethecompletionoftheBanquetEventOrder.

Storage and Approval of MaterialsClient agrees that Golden Valley Golf and Country Club will not accept and store shipments of any materials prior to the time said materials are required for the event. All shipments must receive prior delivery approval from Golden Valley Golf and Country Club. All items and materials used in presentations or in decorating must receive prior approval from Golden Valley Golf and Country Club. No item may be left overnight and decorations must be removed by the client or client’s vendors at the end of the event. Golden Valley Golf and Country Club will assume no financial responsibility for any damages or theft of equipment, decorations or personal properties.

SecurityAll tournament volunteers and participants should wear name tags for identification purposes. All valuables and personal belongings should be kept in a locked vehicle. Golden Valley Golf and Country Club is not responsible or liable for loss/damage to personal belongings or for injuries to persons who attend sponsored tournaments except for loss caused by Golden Valley Golf and Country Club employees, agents or contractors.

Gun PolicyThe possession of firearms is forbidden in the Clubhouse and in all areas of the club grounds.

Posed PhotographyPhotos consisting of weddings, engagements and family groups may be accommodated based on the time of day and time of year. Only specific locations will be allowed.
