I started off with this picture of my model that I had asked to be on my front cover. I decided on this picture because I thought that it connoted Indie a lot more than the ones I had previously chosen. I decided on having the wall for the background so that the background wouldn’t be distracting and wouldn’t draw the attention away from the actual model.

I decided on a title font and colour and I chose blue because I thought that it would stand out the most and make the title catch attention. I decided on this font because I thought that it matched well with my picture and that it looked good on the page.

Unfortunately the title was over the models head so I had to create a picture copy and layer it over so I could have the models head come over the title.

I decided to add this plus bar at the bottom of the page in order to show the audience more examples of what else will be in the magazine. I have included a couple of indie bands and artists that I know off to add variety to the bands I have also included. I have added circles in order to break up the information so it doesn’t seem cramped.

Here I have introduction the colour red to my front cover as it was one of the requested colours from my questionnaire. I have also included more band names in order to attract a wider audience and include more variety into my magazine.

I have added my main cover line to go along with my main image to show the audience what the picture is about. I have also included the information for the main double page spread that will appear in my magazine.

I was asked to change some things about my magazine in order to get more marks so I set to work on perfecting my magazine front cover.

I needed to change my main cover line and make it bigger so I did this but I used a different font for my cover line so it stands out more.

I was asked to include another cover line to show more articles in my magazine to attract more attention. Also I added it to get rid of space that was left. I also decided to include the blue bar down at the bottom to almost tie the whole front cover in together nicely.

This is my final product after I received some feed back form my teacher. I used his advice to better my product and this is the finished version after applying the advice. I decided to keep the names of the bands as it will attract the attention of lovers of that particular band.
