Of all species, this is the one that lives the longest life.
But, to reach that age, the eagle has to take a very difficult decision.
He can live to reach 70.
His long and flexible nails can no longer carry his prey,
When about 40
his long pointed beak bends,
his wings, that have got heavy and old because of age and of the thick feathers, make it difficult for his
muscles to support his flight.
That is when the eagle only has two options to take: to die, or to go through a very painful process of transformation
for 150 days.
The eagle flies up to a new nest on the peak of the mountain.
And there he continuously knocks his bent beak against the rock until it breaks.
After breaking his beak, he waits until a new one grows and then he snatches his nails with it.
Once the new nails have grown, he starts pulling
out his old feathers.
For another 30 years.
So, five months later, the eagle resumes his famous majestic flight, he has been created for and which is the
reason of his existence.
In order to survive we often need to go through such a process.
Do we really need to change?
Sometimes we need to give up the past, some symbols, stereotypes or
habits.
Only by getting rid of past habits can we make good use of the PRESENT.
To be able to accomplish all these one needs a strong will….
