1. Links Between Lyrics and Visuals

One if the conventions that Andrew Goodwin said was Lyrics with Visuals and the lyrics was ‘She’s making me do the dishes’ we can clearly this is an close up shot and we see that he is washing the dishes which makes us think that maybe in real life he is romantic with his girlfriend and may want the audience to think like that.This medium shot shows that he is

cooked for his girlfriend which goes with lyrics ‘I’m cooking for her when she gets hungry’, which may also show what kind of person he is.

2. Links between music and visuals

In the beginning of the song there is an close up shot before the artists starts singing, there is like a guitar which goes with music and the visual, which makes us deliberately think about the instrumentals being played and have that smooth and calm feeling while seeing that shot.

While the music is going slow and calm, one if the women in the video is coming out slowly out of the car, which may be edited to go along with the music.

Genre CharacteristicsAs this music genre is RnB, and most RnB songs have women in the video which are dancing, this may be because in this industry they think the only way to attract the video to the audience is by having women in the video, for example there is another Music video and which shows women dancing and showing parts of their body. (The video below is by 50cent ft. Jeremih – Down on me)

RnB music Video also like to show some bling and jewellery which makes them look they have money, for example in this medium shot it shows his wearing a watch even though his just wearing a watch it makes look wealthy.

This shot shows the objectification of women and shows the women dancing in the video this also links with other point that Andrew Goodwin which he says there is an link between music and the visuals, so for example while song is about to finish the calm beat of the song comes along and there’s women dancing. This is an medium shot of the artist and there's his girlfriend laying down on his lap while his feeding her, as soon as we look at this shot, we straight away looking at her, than we look at him which shows the direct gaze and see how women are shown in RnB Videos as they always showing their flesh.

This medium shot of the guy on the right shows him pulling out his T-shirt, this is because his selling the Record Label which they are part of ‘Konvict Music’ which gives recognition of the music video.
