Community Influence

Environmental Hero AwardWest Kendall’s annual environmental hero award is granted to an individual who has made significant contributions to the environmental movement.

Our 2014 Environmental Hero will be awarded to Chris Rollins, Park Manager at Fruit & Spice Park. For more than 20 years, he has played a key role in introducing growers and the public to new tropical plants to the United States.

Last year’s recipient was Ron Magill, Communications Director at Zoo Miami, in recognition of his efforts on wildlife preservation.

Adjacent to Zoo Miami. It has ample free parking. Event attendees will enjoy free admission to the museum with additional amenities to enjoy, including mini-golf, a large sandbox, tour of the various train engines and locomotives, model trains, and Thomas The Engine Play Area.
