HOW IT WORKS?

• Uses pressure of gravity fed pipelines

• Taps into the otherwise untapped head pressure.

• The pressure of water turns the turbine.

• Turbine is connected to the generator.

• Generator makes the electricity.

IDEAL FOR..

• Industrial facility that uses high volume of water.

• Municipal water transmission and distribution.

• Waste water treatment plants.

• Irrigation and agriculture

• Any pipeline with sufficient flow and pressure.

PERFORMANCE AND TECHNICAL SPECS

• Diameter: 24”-96”

• Factors that affect amount of power generated• Diameter

• Pressure

• Duration

• Required velocity of water is • > 4ft/s = 1.22m/s = 4.38km/hr

MGD = millions of gallon per day

24 MGD = 90 million litres of water

1 PSI = 0.068 atm

45 PSI = 3.068 atm(3 times the atmospheric pressure)

THE REAL EXAMPLE

• Portland, Oregon, USA implemented LucidPipe system into the local pipeline system.

• Generates 200kW of power.

• Uses 4 42” turbines.

• Started producing electricity in January 2015.

• The system will produce 1100 MWhrper year.

• This is enough to power up 150 homes.
