In the Beginning

WWF was founded by Julian Huxley, Edward Max Nicholson, Peter Scott, Prince Bernhard of Lippe-Biesterfeld, and Prince Phillip, Duke of Edinburgh on April 26, 1961 in Morges Switzerland.

Their Mission

WWF’s ultimate goal is to create a better world around us through conservation and protection of endangered species.

Where do they go?

WWF’s work takes them almost everywhere around the globe, from North American forests to the Coral Triangle of the Pacific.

Their Work

Here are some of the threats WWF is currently working on:

● Climate Change● Deforestation● Pollution● Erosion● Bycatch and many more

Endangered Species

WWF is mainly known for its protection against endangered species. Here are some they are trying to save:

● Giant Pandas● Tigers● Polar Bears● Sea Turtles and many more

In the Future...

WWF has already begun work in Nepal to manage the human and wildlife consumption of natural resources. They will also begin work to protect various species of bees very soon. They have accomplished so much in their first 60 years and there are many more years of conservation work ahead.
