how hot is the hot water?

A-The water is very hot-hot enough to brew a pot of tea. There is a limited quantity, about 12oz, but to fill a large cup, if the heating light comes on the next 2-3 oz is still hot, but not super hot. Then there is a delay of 3-4 minutes while another 12oz is heated (unless of course the reservoir needs to be refilled!).
