We’ll use the Social Determinants of Health as a frame to present examples of ways to map services in your selected geography, how to map demographic and health data such as poverty and education; and how to work with different features on HealthyCity.org to support your work.

Useful to explore the impact of the following factors on health and well-being1 •socioeconomic and political factors•behavioral, biological, and psychological factors•the health system
Useful to understand how health and life opportunities are shaped by the conditions of the environments where people spend most of their time (areas where they live, work, play, worship) and overall health issues2
This framework has guided the work of various organizations in the realm of improving community conditions
