One of the major challenges for any hospital is

preventing the transmission of viruses andbacteria that lead to surgical site infections.

Infections can of course lead to complications

while putting unnecessary pressure on medical

resources.

For example, did you know that on average a

patient with a post-operative infection stays in

hospital an additional 8 days?
