GINGER NANOPARTICLE PROMISING

FOR INFLAMMATORY BOWEL DISEASE

INTRODUCTION

Ginger is spicing up cure for inflammatory bowel disease. Ginger could offer a targeted and effective remedy for potentially debilitating condition.

INFLAMMATORY BOWEL DISEASE

Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) refers a group of disorders in which the intestines become inflamed.

The two main forms of IBD are Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis.

GINGER & ITS BENEFITGinger has long been known for its therapeutic effects, such

as:-

Colds

Nausea

Arthritis

Migraines

Hypertension

.

CREATING NANOPARTICLE Nanoparticle was about 230 nanometers in

diameter, and over 300 of them could fit across the

width of a human hair.

They used a super-high-speed centrifuge to

achieve ultrasonic dispersion of the ginger juice and

create pellets.

ADVANTAGE OF NANOTECHNOLOGY

The advantage of nanotechnology is that it can

deliver low doses of drugs to specific areas, thus

avoiding unwanted effects on the rest of the body.

GINGER FIGHTS WITH IBDGinger particles helped to repair intestines by encouraging survival of good cells in lining of colon.

Helped to lower proteins cause nflammation, and increased proteins fight inflammation.

Particles could be used to treat IBD and cancer that is linked to colitis.

It’s responsible for breaking down food, extracting the nutrients, and removing any unusable material and waste products.

GINGER AS NANOPARTICLE Part of the therapeutic effect the high levels of lipids fatty molecules in the particles, natural lipids in the ginger plant.

One of the lipids is phosphatidic acid, an important building block of cell membranes.

The particles also active constituents found naturally in ginger, such as 6-gingerol and 6-shogaol.

The compounds active against oxidation, inflammation, and cancer.

Ginger an effective remedy for nausea and other digestion problems.

Traditional cultures have used ginger medicinally for centuries, and health food stores carry ginger-based supplements—such as chews, or the herb mixed with honey in a syrup—as digestive aids.

CONSTITUENT TO RELIVE IBD

The ginger plant contains natural lipids, including phosphatidic acid. These are important for building cell membranes. Nanoparticle could be a more effective way of targeting colon tissue than consuming natural ginger as a food or supplement. Ginger effective against nausea and other digestive problems

ENCOURAGE NANOPArTICLE

Ginger also helped with oxidative stress, inflammation, elevated levels of insulin, and insulin resistance, which are all major risk factors of diabetes.

The ginger nanoparticle work was supported by VA, the National Institutes of Health, and the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America..

Ginger could be cost-effective medicine source

The advantage of ginger,, is nontoxic, and could represent a very cost-effective source of medicine.

Ginger and other plants as potential "nanofactories for the fabrication of medical nanoparticles."

Plant-derived edible nanoparticles as a new therapeutic approach against diseases.

Plants are a bio-renewable, sustainable, diversified platform for the production of therapeutic nanoparticles .

Other factors of ginger

Ginger is a potent diabetes fighter.

Including selectively killing breast cancer cells, suppressing colon cancer growth, reducing nausea.

Ginger may be stronger than chemotherapy at fighting cancer.

Reduces vomiting and nausea in pregnant women.

REVIEWGinger effective against nausea and other digestive problems.

They also appear to lower the production of proteins that promote inflammation and to raise the levels of proteins that fight inflammation.

IBD can be very painful and disruptive, and in some cases, \ even be life-threatening.

Fast factsBetween 1-1.3 million people in the U.S. live with IBD

Crohn's disease is believed to affect 201 people in every 100,000

238 people in every 100,000 have ulcerative colitis.
