Degenerative disease: kidneys start to lose function & deteriorate

Caused by defect in glomeruli

Can be a secondary disease

Can lead to kidney failure

Secondary disease: hypertension, diabetes, myeloma etc.

Caused by different disorders that cause damage to kidneys
