When I get frustrated

Sometimes I get frustrated because my work is hard.

Sometimes when I’m frustrated I get mad too.

When I get mad I tell a teacher or my Mom or Dad. I can say “I’m angry” or “I’m frustrated because my work is hard.”

They will talk to me about how I feel and sometimes they can help me with my work.

It’s ok to use words and talk about how I feel.

I will try to use my words to say how I feel.

This is a social story to help a certain student with Autism learn how to control his emotions and use appropriate words and behavior when he gets frustrated and angry about his work being difficult. The story clearly tells about and depicts children acting appropriately in this situation.
