Intent to Contribute Statement:

Participants will create a poster board demonstrating how KPSFO ICU transforms the high tech, noisy, medical-

centric critical care environment to make it a healing environment for patients. “Transcending the walls of the

ICU” is achieved by transforming the environment:

Physically- through mobilization

Visually- through photos/art on the unit and in the hospital

Mentally/Spiritually- through music i.e. the harpist, the care channel Participants from KPSF: June Steckham,
