There are many ways to stop smoking cigarettes, from cold turkey to hypnosis but most of the time it is a real struggle. It took me many attempts to finally quit. One very useful and easy way to stop smoking cigarettes is using an association technique to help the mind to reinforce your will power to remain quit. This worked for me. This may not work for everyone because it does still require a small amount will power but it worked well for me. It’s very easy to do but also very powerful. Firstly decide on a day to quit smoking. Tell yourself that on this day you’re going to stop smoking for good and make it a promise to yourself. Here’s the association part which helps to trigger your subconscious mind and hopefully help you quit for good. Association techniques are used by many people but particularly performers and sportsmen to take them into a zone to perform to their peak. When you wake up on the particular day take a water proof pen and place a small dot on the back of either hand and when doing it tell yourself that this dot will remind you of the promise you have made to yourself. Would you want to tell yourself a lie? Well hopefully not. So, now every time you feel like you need to smoke look at this dot and touch it. Remember that the dot is there to remind you of your promise to yourself that you will quit smoking for good and that you will be letting yourself down if you break this promise. It sounds quite fanciful that this technique will help you to quit such an addictive habit as smoking, but it is amazing just how powerful your mind can be if it is reinforced but association. It took me around two weeks of doing this, of course every day or so I had to replace the dot do to showering and hand washing, but it certainly got me through the first few difficult weeks and now I’m quit for good. Once I had managed to remain quit from smoking for a couple of weeks I found that a lung detox really helped me to complete the stopping process. It involved using simple breathing exercises that I could do at home to quickly rid my lungs of toxins and tar that had built up over the years that I had smoked. I think it was this lung detox that finally made me quit smoking for good! Try a really good lung detox here: http://www.removetarfromlungs.net/lung_detox.php

I think it was this lung detox that finally made me quit smoking for good!
