Finger FeedingWhen your child is around 8 months old, their teeth start to grow up and at the time your kid will start to grasp the food with the help of both the hand and their mouth. Usually, parents won’t allow them to struggle for food and

some will look for hygienic and neat manners from them and finally make the kids stop that activity.

You can give them clean and hygienic foods even through their hands. Let them start to take from with the help of their hand, it makes the habit of eating by their own. But we parents should take care of what they are eating. Give them a mashed or very small piece of foods to their hand and encourage them to eat by their own if your kid is above one-year-old.

Spoon FeedingThis kind of feeding is usual to all moms. But what we have to follow here is we have to give them a separate spoon in their hand which they can use it to take food from the bowl. Later they’ll also try to bring it to their mouth. Don’t get tired foe mess! It all happens with kids once you want them to teach something new.

If your kid is little older, you can leave them alone with a bowl of food along with a spoon or fork to make the habit of self-eating. Don’t let them alone with the fork if your child is too naughty.

For older childIf your kids crossed the age of five you cannot try these type of feeding. Instead what you can do is make them sit along with you when you are eating. Give them a separate plate and spoon or fork. You can try some special kind of healthy food to make them attracted towards food. Give them a funny designed plates, spoons and forks which help them to enjoy their meal time.

Pay less attention towards them while they are eating. If they noticed that you are focusing on your kid and their eating, they’ll not do it. Better don’t look at them and don’t consider them while eating. It might be hard, but they will eat at the end when he feels hungry. Later he’ll don’t used to refuse the food when you offer.

For parent’s knowledgeDon’t get fear for the mess. If you suspect that they don’t want to be the mess, give them napkin or towel to make theirself clean and give them the practice to do so.Try to follow these all at the beginning age of your child, so that you can feel easy to manage them in future.Encourage them while they are trying to eat by themselves or trying to take food from their own. This will boost them to do it again and again.Don’t show pity on them if they refused to eat by their own. Leave them as they are once to get adjust with the situation.
